Aeromonas hydrophila, a gram-negative, hemolytic rod-shaped bacteria, is an opportunistic pathogen majorly found in fishes and reptiles. Infections in mammals have only been reported rarely; however, the organism, either alone or in combination with other organisms, can cause localized and systemic infections in wild birds, animals and in parrothen.References
