Abstract

Nerve cells, or neurons, are one of the most specialized cell types. A neuron has a phenomenal structure, with a long axon and diverging dendrites linking it through synaptic joints to different cells. A major task of neural development is to describe how the axons and dendrites develop, and create a fully functional system with the help of synapse.
