Human Health: The Need to Rethink Blood Parameters Both Procedures and Interpretation in the Homo Sapiens

Abstract

Human Health is an endeavour spanning around 2500 years in our knowledgable heritage, blooming only in the last decade with procedures, data interpretation, techniques, metodologies and equipment and billion-dollar/ year investment by the best universities around the world. In the case of blood sampling data collection and interpretation, human health has failed to comprehensively and coherently addrees the matter: Fasting is not a state of health in the Homo sapiens species nor hunger both prevalent during blood sampling in laboratories around the world therefore the resulting data is no coherent with our species health status which should be considered unknown to date; moreover, lack of knowledge in the field of Human Chemistry has rendered incomplete interpretation of the function of physiologic molecules such cholesterol and glucose which could be a mediator during free radical neutralization and a mildew stabilizer respectively, both cases are presented here. The scientific community at all its span is invited to revisit the matter of procedures and Human Chemistry in Laboratory and Clinical Practice.
