Advancements in the Large-Scale Production of Monoclonal Antibodies (mAbs)

Anshuman Chandra, Gaurav Khandelwal, Avinash Dhar

Abstract

The monoclonal antibodies (mAb) are the antibodies derived from single clone and are specific for an epitope, which are being commonly used in biomedical research, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. mAbs are formed by the B lymphocytes of the immune system in response to the antigens and can be produced at small as well as large scale. This review consists of the benefits, production procedures and advancements being made in the production of these antibiotics.

Keywords
