Plant Tissue Culture: Conservation Techniques

Vikrant Singh, Mehak Sharma, Rohit Yadav

Abstract

Agriculture, forestry, horticulture, and plant breeding have all made extensive use of plant tissue culture. It's a type of applied biotechnology that's utilized for things like plant mass propagation, viral eradication, secondary metabolite manufacturing, and in-vitro cloning. Tissue culture has increasingly been employed for short to medium term conserving, also known as slow development, and cryogenics, also known as long term conservation, of vulnerable species of plants. These techniques had been effectively utilized to protect plant species with resistant seeds or dormant seeds, and they outperformed traditional conservation measures.
