Ecological threat to Bacopa monnieri: An Assessment

Shikha Suman

Abstract

Now –a- days the anthropogenic activities are so aggressive that they become serious threat to the plants especially the herbs which has even the immense medicinal property but they totally dependent on the upper sol surface not only the direct influence but the indirect influence of the human activities like increase in the temperature of the earth crust, water deficit due to decrease water level of the earth, directly influence on the reproductive efficiency of the plant as this stage is the limiting factor of a plant life. The very recent technology in the field of the plant biotechnology as micropropagation and germplasm conservation by means of the tissue culture technique, have been made a mile stone in the conservation of suc an important medicinal plants.
