Internet of Things (IoT) and It’s Application in Agriculture: A review

Saurabh Sherathiya, Dhaval Patel

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that connects things with the internet in order to increase farmer earnings by increasing crop yield. It can reduce the amount of water, fertilizer, and other chemicals used in farming. It can monitor and measure a variety of parameters including moisture, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide levels, and soil quality, among others. IoT enables automation while consuming less energy. Inter-portability, information privacy, physical security of things, data secrecy, data encryption, and a lack of understanding among farmers are the problems.
