Surya Prakash Dv, Ansh Aggarwal, Saumya Singh, Anjali Tanwar, Roshni Bharti

Abstract

Gallic acid is a pure phenolic compound that is distributed widely in all plant species, as well as its derivatives can be found in almost every part of the plant, including the bark, leaves, fruits, roots, wood, and seeds. It has a yellowish-white crystal structure and is soluble in alcohol, ether, and acetone. It has antioxidant properties. Gallic acid has the unique potential to assist prevent the growth and spread of cancer cells. It extracted from various plant materials by using various solvents (water, ethanol, methanol etc.). It determined by using qualitative and quantitative analysis process. Mainly FC reagent is being used for estimation of gallic acid. Gallic acid has ameliorative effects against oxidative stress and renin damage brought on by PRQ. Gallic acid is a new, effective, and secure option for an anti-cancer drug that shows promise treatmenting the cancer. Gallic acid, a natural and powerful antioxidant, has been shown to reduce ROS such as H2O2, O2, HClO, and HO-. Gallic acid may guide with memory recovery after a traumatic brain injury. The antioxidant properties of gallic acid have been used to treat neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.Gallic acid has been shown to be beneficial in cardiac remodelling, fibrosis, and hypertension.
