Review on Hospital Bacteria (Causes, Infections, Prevention)

Nagham Mahmood Aljamali, Aseel Mahmood Jawad, Intisar Obaid Alfatlawi, Saher Mahmood Jawd

Abstract

This review discussed hospital infection or Nosocomial Infection, it is an infection that the patient acquires after entering the hospital, meaning that the person did not have it when he was admitted to the hospital, and it does not appear until (72 hours ) or more after entering the hospital. The probability of a patient entering a hospital in the United States having an oral infection is approximately (5 to 10%). These infections lead to serious illnesses and a high mortality rate, To prevent a new infection. In this form of isolation, preventive measures are imposed to prevent transmission. On the other hand, quarantine is forced separation and confinement, while restricting the movement of healthy people or groups that may have been exposed to a pathogen, to prevent the transmission of a new infection. With regard to biological containment, this term is called biosafety in microbiology laboratories in which the physical containment (BSL-3, BSL-4) of pathogenic organisms is achieved through integrated engineering control tools.
