Abstract

Abiotrophia defectiva is a nutrient variant Streptococci, which is the normal flora of oral cavity, upper respiratory tract and the intestinal flora. It is fastidious organism and known to cause mainly infectious endocarditis along with other infections. We review the isolation and its role in the ocular infections.
