Imminent Bioperspectives of Aromatic Plant Leaf Extracts from Cinnamomum tamala and its Biopesticidal Potential against Tribolium castaneum (Herbst.)

Abstract


present research work concluded that when the C. tamala leaf extract of five various solvents revealed that acetone extract possessed potential biopesticidal efficiency because it contains the cinnamaldehyde and linalool like compounds present in the same extract. Totally eleven compounds are elucidated from the leaf (acetone extract) through a GCMS analysis. It was almost conformed that these two aldehyde and aromatic carboxylic acid groups were presented in the acetone extract through the FT-IR spectrometric analysis. Moreover, the mortality rate of this current experimental leaf extract clearly depicted maximum mortality has been noticed in acetone extract followed by petroleum ether and methanol so on. Though all the extracts were showed significantly potential biopesticidal effect than the hexane extract. Finally after treated dead pests were subjected in SDS-PAGE analysis it was clearly revealed that depends with this experimental plant extracts possessed bioactive metabolites were influence towards the macromolecular changes such as protein profile by SDS-PAGE analysis. According to this result it was compared with control expressed the acetone and pet. Ether extracts treated whole body mass of the dead pest contains remarkable changes occurred on the pattern of the polypeptide protein bands because several kDa protein bands were thickened intensity some of the peptides were disappeared also loss of the original quality as well as quantity of the protein bands. Hence this acetone leaf extracts of the C. tamala plant leaf is act as a potential biopesticidal agents for rice grain pest of T. castaneum (Herbst). Hence the C. tamala aromatic plant leaf acetone extract possessed good biopesticidal effect on the larval to adult stages of stored grain pest of T. castaneum (Herbst). The overall SDS protein profile revealed that the secondary metabolites of the aromatic plant extracts could be altered or fluctuated towards qualitative changes on the main constituents of the pests whole body mass of protein like macromolecules.
