Abstract

The fabrication of metal oxide nanostructures has drawn the attention of scientists because of several applications in the era of sciences. The cadmium oxide nanoparticles (CdO NPs) are at the center of attention owing to their unique physical and chemical properties resulting in their tremendous applications. CdONPs are fabricated by an efficient, eco-friendly, cost effective and non-toxic green synthesis method. The green synthesized NPs are characterized by various techniques, such as X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence, UVVisible spectroscopy, energy dispersive x-ray (EDX), Thermo gravimetric/Differential Thermal Analyzer(TG/DTA) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) to study its various properties. This paper presents the green synthesis and characterization of CdO NPs.
