Salvia officinalis (SAGE) – A Review

Abstract


The major morphological and habitat feature of sage is that it is strong, herbaceous peren­nial (zones 4 to 7) depicts a unique flavoring via its velvety, gray-green leaves. In the humid climes of zones 8 and farther south, it is usually an annual. Sage requires light, well-drained soil. This paper garners information about sage, its types and properties of sage, and certain beliefs of sage in the midst of tribes.
